1. Do you really want to make it legal for people to have cyanide in their homes? How about high grade ammonium nitrate to make big bombs with?
2. We don't have to overthrow the Gov't anymore because we vote our leaders in office.
3. Nominate and vote in an advocate of Marijuana. That other stuff is very damaging.
DOLTS!

It would require a fundamental shift in the way that drug addiction is viewed in society.
If we could convince people to look at drug addiction as a sickness rather than a crime, we could start making inroads into a solution.
If drugs were legalized, they would be considerably cheaper - and would take a large chunk of money out of the pockets of drug dealers and kingpins - who are usually involved in other kinds of illegal activity. Not to mention all of the petty crime that addicts commit to get money so they can score a hit of whatever they are hooked on.
Ending the 'war on drugs' (which is a joke anyway), would allow law enforcement to focus on other crime.
Take a fraction of the ridiculous amount of money spent on the 'war on drugs' today, and spend it creating rehab centers that help addicts to recover, and get their lives back together.
Currently we have our prisons filled with addicts - who go untreated, and end up back on the streets, still hooked, and most likely eventually ending back up in prison.
Release all the first-time, non-violent drug offenders from the prisons, and your overcrowding problem just went away - more room for the hardcore criminals.
These ideas may or may not work, but all I know is what they are attempting right now has continued to fail. The 'war on drugs' has the backing of a lot of people (most of whom are making money by keeping drugs illegal).

Alright here's what your gonna want to do:
1) go down to the wal mart in your neighborhood.
2) find the old obese lady and tell her you have a bag of red m&m's.
3) take your pants off and wrap them around the nearest firehydrant.
4) run back outside wal mart and jump in front of a moving truck.
5) all drugs are now legalized.
Idiot

Well last time I was a drug store and I asked why is it legal to sell this and the cashier told me to go to a liquor store and then I went to liquor store and they told me to go to the court so I went to the basketball court and I saw kobe bryant playing tennis in a swimming pool. I was good at pool and I got the 8 ball down the bowling alley. It was a good day.

Start with dismantling the FDA.
Then realize if you really want the world to be like the 1870's with every elixir and snake oil available.

Why should we legalize drugs? Marijuana I can understand, but all other drugs besides marijuana are a threat to public health and safety.
