I was able to velcro my mac mini to the back of my monitor, this is the most convenient position for me, to free upspace, plus the velco holds VERY sturdy, im not worried about the mac mini falling off, but should i be concerned about the computer being so close to the back of the monitor? My monitor does not heat up, but the mac mini does when left on for a long period of time, or when burning/reading cds/dvds. will heat do anything to either the monitor or the mac if they are attached to each other with velcro?

As long as you do not block any vents on the back of the monitor, or cause hot air to go into the bottom vents the monitor should be O.K.

Your Mac Mini is going to get hotter because it is losing a surface to radiate heat from.

Isn't it a pain to reach around to insert CDs?
