My friend was going through a pretty bad breakup a while back, so we met up for a drink. Six or seven pints down, he looked up at me with a deeply maudlin expression and said, "Tell me the truth. Do you think I'm going to die alone?" I said the first thing to pop into my head, which was "Of course you are! Everyone dies alone!". He almost started crying. I really wish I hadn't said that.

Today! I had an important appointment, and in my nervousness I ended up chattering on about anything and everything. For someone who is normally fairly laid back and quiet I was twittering on like a complete idiot!
