Weird dreams is a large part of pregnancy, thought you hear little about it.
Because of hormones, life changes, and the future unknowns, the unconscious mind has a lot to digest and the outcome usually means nighttime weirdness.
Tragedies about children and babies is a very common one.
Another common theme deals with animals. I often dreamed about breastfeeding kittens.

It sounds like you maybe freaking out about the pregnancy!! But seriously, I have a ton a weird dreams when I am pregnant but none of them usually revolve around a baby, or pregnancy....mine are more surreal, and disturbing actually.

If you wondering if dreaming about babies is a sign of pregnancy...I don't think that it's a normal one, but that doesn't mean anything. If you THINK that you might be pregnant it certainly stands to reason that your subconscience is playing it out in your dreams. Take a test and ease your fears.

If you KNOW that you are pregnant, I would think that the same applies. That your subconscience is just taking the news of a baby and running with it.

I didn't have any dreams about babies before we found out. Since though I have tons of dreams. Mostly scary ones not involving a baby. Though the other night I had one where I was on Price is Right playing a game where I had to punch out three pouches on this large board covered with colorful paper. In one pouch was our baby. I missed twice and on the last try found her. A bit scary but a fun dream. I am actually enjoying some of my dreams.

At 2-3 weeks you haven't even missed a period yet....but as for dreams, I've had many about babies/birth during my pregnancy. (I'm 33 weeks along now) The weirdest one was that I gave birth to a puppy LOL. I had three other dreams that I gave birth to a girl :) and I've had a few normal dreams too--I dream a lot even when I'm not pregnant.

I had weird dreams throughout all three of my pregnancies. But I don't recall having any dreams about children or babies. I only dreamed about them when I first realized that I wanted to have a baby.

My cousin's husband passed away on March 10th of this year. I week later I had a dream that he was at our house and he congratulated us on having our second baby. About six weeks after my dream and seven weeks after the loss of my cousin's husband I found out I was 7 weeks pregnant!
