There is a lose piece of paper caught in one of the passenger Air Conditioning/Heating vents of my 1999 Ford Taurus. How would I go about removing that piece of paper? I heard that I could pop the vent cover off and then put it back on without breaking it? How would I do that? I don't see anyway to pop the vent cover off and then put it back on without breaking it? Is there a way to do that?

How else would I go about getting that piece of paper removed that seems to be caught on the inside?

Is it very important that I remove it to prevent something from breaking?

Take a coat hanger or piece of stiff wire and bend a small hook in the end of it and try to catch the piece of paper on the hook and pull it out. Vents may be tricky to get off unless you've done it and not cheap to replace, usually you just have to pry them out of where they sit at the top or bottom...paper won't harm anything if you leave it in.

hiya Devin, i'd recommend against determining in this motor vehicle. they are infamous for his or her undesirable transmissions. The V-6, 3.0l automobiles look to hold up nicely, nonetheless, often outliving their transmissions. The severe call for for those transmissions has made the fee of rebuld/replace upwards of $2500 right here on the West Coast. i individually had to do away with an before type by technique of donation to charity. seem for a Toyota, Nissan, Honda or Saturn in case you want a greater reliable, bigger mileage motor vehicle.

There is a tab one one end of the vent. You could also use a pair of long needle nose grips to pull it out. It will not hurt anything to leave it there, but the noise is annoying.
