Yesterday, Speaker Pelosi appeared on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos." She discussed the most pressing issues of the day: Iraq, immigration reform, upcoming legislation on lobby reform and her experience as Speaker.

On Iraq the Speaker explained, "The point is about accountability. The American people want accountability, and that is where the President refuses to listen. We've worked in a bipartisan way with the President on trade, on immigration, on our innovation agenda, on many issues. But when it comes to the war in Iraq, the President has a tin ear. He just cannot hear except that which he wants to hear on it."

What he cares about is winning, that is, getting his own way. He has stated he will refuse to sign the latest Iraq funding bill from congress which includes a withdrawal timeline that he is allowed to waive or ignore! Just because he doesn't want the wording or even the hint of accountability. So he would let the troops who are suffering to carry out his ill-conceived occupation of Iraq do without what they need to do their jobs rather than concede on the wording of the legislation. So, no, he does not care about the troops, despite his lying rhetoric, and is refusing to listen.

somewhat? - Bush labored with Pelosi on the bailout applications against the needs of his very own occasion. - Bush putgoether a joint decision to justify invading the two Iraq and Afghanistan - The "no baby left at the back of act" replaced right into a Kennedy/Bush initiative. This on the different hand is a CYA initiative purely in case it would not artwork. (no count number if that's a bipartisan push, then Republicans can no longer use it as an election ingredient in 2010).

The president is not going to change. It's been obvious since day one that he has his own agenda regarding the war. He has not listened to the military advisors he had (except for rumsfield and cheney and they had NO combat experience). He's showing the American public just how much he cares about the will of the people.

He doesn't care. His family and his buddies are making so much money off of this war and he simply needs to find more and more lame excuses for why we are still in Iraq. This is how he fools the rest of us who are too stupid to see through the guise.

Just because the president doesn't do what you think is right doesn't mean he didn't listen. His job is to make decisions that are best for the country , not to OBEY polls.

Because he does care and unlike his opponents, he understands what is at stake in the long term for everyone.

If there's anyone who inhabits this earth who shouldn't be talking about "accountability", it's Pelosi.

By "people" she means herself. He's not listening to her, and that's what will continue to set her off. It has nothing to do with her concern for "the American people."
