It's blue! (As is Neptune.)

Uranus is the first planet discovered in modern times. Sir William Herschel formally discovered the planet on March 13, 1781; the other planets (from Mercury out to Saturn) have been known since ancient times, since they are visible to the naked eye.

The discovery of Uranus expanded the boundaries of the solar system for the first time in modern human history. It was also the first planet discovered using technology (a telescope) rather than the naked eye. Herschel thought it was a comet at first but its orbit was found to be almost circular and then its status as a planet was confirmed.

After much indecision as to what to call the new planet, Johannes Bode, as editor of the Berliner Astronomisches Jahrbuch, opted for Uranus, a name he had proposed as early as 1781, after the Latinized version of the Greek god of the sky, Ouranos;

Herschel went on to discover two of its 5 largest moons, Titania and Oberon. The fifth, Miranda, was only discovered in 1948 and it was not until the era of space probes and the arrival of Voyager II at Uranus that more of its secrets were revealed. It is now known to have 27 moons and a ring system,

AXIAL TILT

One of the most distinctive features of Uranus is its axial tilt of ninety-eight degrees. Consequently, for part of its orbit one pole faces the Sun continually while the other pole faces away. At the other side of Uranus's orbit the orientation of the poles towards the Sun is reversed.

This gives each pole 42 years of continuous sunlight, followed by 42 years of darkness. Between these two extremes of its orbit, particularly at the equinoxes, the Sun rises and sets around the equator normally. Uranus will reach its next equinox around December 2007, and not again until 2049.

URANUS' ATMOSPHERE

Composition: 83% Hydrogen
15% Helium
1.99% Methane
0.01% Ammonia
0.00025% Ethane
0.00001% Acetylene
trace Carbon monoxide
trace Hydrogen sulfide

ORBIT

Uranus is approximately twice the distance from the Sun that Saturn is. Saturn is 9.5 AUs away on average but Uranus is 19 AUs away. It takes Uranus 84 Earth years to go round the Sun once. Most humans would not live till their second birthday, wth such a long year!

URANUS COULD HAVE BEEN A GEORGE

When Uranus was first found, its discoverer, Sir William Herschel wanted the planet to be named Georgium Sidus or Georgian Star, after the king of England at the time, George III. Many French astronomers referred to it simply as Herschel and it wasn’t until later on when Johann Bode (1747—1826) proposed it be named Uranus after the mythological father of Saturn.

Uranus is blue and is the seventh planet from our solar system. It is the third largest planet and was discovered in 1781 and it's atmosphere is mostly composed of hydrogen. Uranus has 22 moons and also has many rings. Hope you got most of the info you need.
