I guess it is because sometimes people feel the need to belittle someone or something to make themselves feel bigger inside. If the person points out someone's error in a dignified manner as a point of admonition or gentle correction then I feel that is alright. If the person is only doing it because they want to show off or feel superior or be an ego trip then not only is it rude but also lacking in class and cruel.

I haven't really made a bad mistake during questions...except I accidentally spelled out incite instead of insight..which means two different things..one person corrected my very politely. But I have noticed when one person misspells one word everybody has a field day...I have noticed that when you ask a question it only gives you spell check for the first part..and not the added details, so people should stop getting so upset.

there is component stated as Tact, and this is not incorrect to perfect somebody in case you comprehend the thank you to deal with a topic, and likely, it additionally relies upon on what you will tell the guy to perfect. If somebody has particularly undesirable breath, lol, i might think of thrice earlier saying something.. yet while somebody is great as a guy or woman, yet is slightly smug, then i might surely tell that guy or woman heavily to get slightly all the way down to earth, and that must be in this type of style that that guy or woman might think of thrice earlier attacking me :P besides, this will not be categorized as "backbiting" because it relatively is saying something unwell approximately somebody at the back of their returned, something which you would be able to in no way say on their face.

I saw that and I know your questions well enough to know that you know better so I ignored it. But my last question is kinda doing that but it was just so damned funny I couldn't resist.
