a few years ago, i read about how the communists in america went underground beginning in the fifties during the mcarthy era and infiltrated the fields of academia, hollywood, politics, and the main stream media outlets of televison, newspapers, publishing, and radio. i scoffed at this idea...
presently, our schools at all levels are churning out america hating graduates and kids who can't read, write, spell, or do math and have no clue what goes on in the world around them.
we have politicians, business leaders, religious organizations, intellectuals, and regular joe's actively involved in the undermining of national policy.
we have actors, producers, and directors all making propaganda films and raising funds aimed at destroying the credibility of the united states and its leaders.
we have respected television, radio, and newspapers all actively supporting our enemies at home and abroad.
looking around these days, i have become convinced that what i read was absolutely correct.

not to mention the attacks on our freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the gutting of the military, the drug epidemic, the gang problem, and the attempt to overrun the country through illegal immigration.
so, have i got your attention or am i just another jingoistic nutbag?

They have not won, but they are trying hard.

The Progressive Caucus in congress are supported by and are members in the Democratic Socialists of America, that is an international communist organization.

You got a good look at some of the "useful idiots" who replied and below there is an interesting link on brainwashing in America.

You are dead on about the school thing. In 1963 in the congressional record is a list of what the communists had planned to do to takeover America without firing a shot, and as you will be able to see the Democratic (socialists) Party has pretty much finished that list off.

So, as I said, great logic and observation. They are here but if we expose them for what they are AMerica will reject them, which is why you will get vicious attacks when you ask questions like that, they do not want anyone to know who they are.

Help save America, out a socialist today.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." – C.S. Lewis

We have a tendency to think that life is worse now then it was in the past. That their was more unity and less discord. It isn't really true.

If you go back and read about various times in US history you can see, that just like today, there where a lot of different opinions on how to do things and that often those differences broke out in violence. Look for the Whiskey Rebellion as an example. Or read about the revolt against the draft that occurred in New York during the Civil War.

As for Hollywood, film has always been used as a propaganda device. Anybody with the money can, and usually has, made a film which caters to their own bias. As an example of this read about the Spanish American war, which was essentially started by a media mogul looking to sell news papers.

As for intellectuals undermining government policy, go read about Socrates.

Johnny's education may be in a sad state, but it is not as bad as other periods in American history. As for Americans not knowing much about the world, this has been the case from the beginning. It's more then once that the USA has been compared to an ostrich.

have you read death of the west? good book (taken with a grain of salt).
Do not feel like a nutbar for thinking about communists, they are real :) they even control a couple of countries on the planet, China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, etc- that for the idiots that think communism is a joke.........
That is part of the "plan" to degrade a society to make it ripe for revolution. Russia had ww1 to make it soft enough for revolution, for China, North Korea and Vietnam it was world war two. The communists moved in when the country was very weak.

They are certainly trying. Its amazing the way the public school system says it is not their fault they cannot teach kids how to read, write, or do math, but they somehow manage to churn out legions of America-Hating liberals. If you want to know where a lot of them have gone, look at the policies of FDR and LBJ and other socialists of the era, and then look at the modern platform of the Democratic Party. You might notice some similarities.

Don't forget the ACLU. To answer your question, yes they are winning in a big way, and the job is almost complete. In our paper today they had an article about how depressed Americans are with their country and where it is today. Of course they tried to play this like the people were depressed because of Bush and his policies, they are too stupid to see the truth thats staring them in the face. Sadly, far too many are too brainwashed to see the truth. If the tide is not turned soon, and I really do not see any way it can be, the US is doomed.

Ockam's Razor (I may have misspelled that) paraphrased., "all things being equal, the simplest explanation is also the most likely". Grand communist conspiracies are much less likely when our government can't even keep the identities of CIA agents secret. McCarthyism was a modern day inquisition ruining the lives of all that were involved. Do you consider Lucille Ball a communist? He did because she married a guy from Cuba. Even if a movie exec had socialist leanings, so what? Everyone has a voice in America. For every so-called socialist in the media, you have a dozen Hannitys or Limbaughs.

"so, have i got your attention or am i just another jingoistic nutbag?"

Do you really want an honest answer? Seriously, how is this theory any different than the "George Bush was responsible for 9/11" theories?
