A stock tank is a watering tank for livestock; such as cattle, sheep, horses, etc. Sometimes in remote areas a stock tank will be powered by a windmill or solar setup to operate the pump.

Hello,

You must be looking in a rural area. MY knowledge of a stock tank is limited but when I was growing up on the farm we had one. It was about 12 feet in diameter and 2.5 feet deep and full of water.

The horses and cattle would come drink out of it.

These are sold at farm stores some lumber yards and are steel

Hope that helps?
