Should he stick with team loyalty and with the team that has supported him through the highlight of his career or should he move on to finish his career elsewhere? Also should the chiefs give him another shot after a poor season?

I have mixed feelings on this. I like Trent Green a lot and would love to see him stay in a Chiefs uniform. On the other hand, he is not the future QB of the franchise - Brody Croyle is. I don't want to see a situation like Green Bay where the Chiefs keep an aging QB, whose skills are diminishing, and have to play him because of his status with the team and his paycheck. All the while having the young QB that is supposed to take over for him wait on the sideline indefinitely. Like I said, I would love Trent to stay a Chief, but I don't think there is any more he can do for the team and it's time for both parties to move on.

As a lifetime fan of my beloved Chiefs Trent Green has had the highest passer rating in the NFL with the number one offence for the last 4 seasons up until last year when a cheap shot forced him to the sidelines. Can Trent Green still play to the level that we have seen, NO with the departure of Will Shields Willie Roaf Kyle Turley and no support what so ever with sub par recievers it would probably be a better choice for Trent to move on. If he stays here he takes a huge risk of getting seriously hurt. My solution is get rid of Carl Peterson he has managed to tear apart the Kansas City Chiefs I feel its going to be a while before the Chiefs return to the teams we are used to seeing...... Take Care

Currently, it's not up to Trent Green whether he moves on or not. It's up to the Chiefs as to whether they trade him or not.

That said, I think Green can still start in this league. If the Chiefs want Croyle or Huard or George Castanza to be their QB of the future, it's their right to hire and start whomever they want. If the Chiefs want Croyle or Huard to get playing time now, Green may be the odd man out.

Green is going to be given another shot by someone, even after this last season (eight games, 1342 yards, 61.1% completion rate, 7 TDs 9 INTs, 74.1 QB rating). The three previous seasons, he had a QB rating of over 90 & threw for over 4,000 yards even though he was on a team whose main receiving threat is a TE (sorry, Eddie Kennison.) Plenty of teams will chalk up last season to being injured half the season. So long as he checks out medically, he could start for half of the teams in the league, including the Chiefs.

If he is willing to take a back seat to Huard, by all means stay in KC.
He knows the system and as long as the O line protects him, he still has ability and can help win games.
Else, he could be a starter for a team like Cleveland until Brady Quinn is ready to be the starter.
Sorry Quinn fans, he’s NOT their savior…not yet anyway.
If they put him in there now with his ego and arrogance, he’s gonna fail and won’t be any good for any other team.
If Trent doesn’t stay in KC, I’m sure he can be an excellent backup anywhere else and with some of these teams that are still trying to find their way, he could still be a starter.
I wouldn’t mind seeing him as a backup with the Jets; Buffalo; SD or SF.
tmo.

i think of you may properly be over-estimating Carr's ability, yet that's purely as a results of fact i've got suffered via probably limitless dropping seasons with Carr in Houston.. relatively, i could somewhat prefer to make certain Carr flow to a distinctive group and dominate. KC is a stable decision: green's too previous and fragile, and Huard - no person's somewhat specific approximately his ability. the top-rated venture with Carr is that he's so shell-bowled over after 249 sacks in Houston, that he has worry remaining cool under pressure. If no longer something, if Carr get's aggravating, he can a minimum of hand off to LJ until they could deliver in the defibrillator on third down for a passing play. that's a luxury Carr by no ability had in Houston - it replaced into annoying for Carr to make a sparkling hand-off to Ron Dayne with Dayne continually ingesting a meatball sub.

Talk about team loyalty?...Its not Trent that abandoned the Chiefs...They are abandoning him after one subpar season in favor of Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle...So, he should be able to go if he wants...

well for one im sorry to say that this isnt really a valid question because the chiefs dont want him anymore and he cant move on til the chiefs either release him or finally come up with a realistic trade offer for the dolphins.

I think he should even if Damon Huard is breathing down his neck so he can finish his career a Chief. If he doesn't their really isn't many places he can go (to stay a starter) unless he is willing to be a backup mentor to a young quarterback.

He is done!,He should just roll out of Kansas City, and move on! They turned their back on him, which isn't necessarily a bad thing!, He is an average QB ( in my eyes)!!! He should move on and so should the Chiefs!

Well, on the same token, are they being loyal to him? Is he going to start? The reason he had bad season was because he had gotten injured. I think that they need to see if he still has anything left.
