LOL. When I met my hubby, he said he wanted six kids, to which I responded, "And just WHERE do you plan to get these kids, 'cause it sure ain't with ME!??"

When I was pregnant with my third, God wrestled my heart to His viewpoint that "children are a blessing" and they are a "heritage" and that a man is "happy" if his "quiver is full of them" and he will "not be ashamed." And on and on and on.

In fact, Malachi 2:15 says that having children is the REASON we should get married. It's the first command God gave Man in the Garden of Eden, to "go forth and multiply."

And Rebekah's sisters blessed her, that she should be the mother of tens of thousands so that her offspring should possess the gates of their enemies!

It's a sad thing today, my Christian brother, that people worry more about "affording" children than on God's provision of them, that women today want more to be a career woman than a Godly woman, that young marrieds want to spend time together just the 2 of them for years rather than increasing God's kingdom through the blessing of the womb. Then, they have one or two in their late 30's, become grandparents in their 60's, and die before their grandkids are old enough to care about their heritage.

Me, I want a bushel of them. My dream car is a 15-seater van, with AT LEAST half the seats full of kids.

We have 3 so far, and have been trying for #4 for four years come August. May God's Mighty Hand reach down and open my womb once again.

Many blessings,

I want two. My fiance wants three. I told him that we'll see after two how I feel about it. After all, you only have two hands!

I am against having one child because important life lessons are learned by being a sibling (such as sharing and compassion). I also fiercely believe that the world is overpopulated and that some people should be spayed or neutered. You might think that having a big family is great, but twenty grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren later ...think of all the resources that will be used!

If you keep your family small, you can concentrate on your parenting, keep your expenses down, and provide the best life possible for the kids you do have. Survival-level living is no life at all (I've done it). I also tend to think that people with large families are looking for value and attention from something external, which is misguided.

i do want kids, but not an army of children. so ideally i'd like 4 or less. i'm sure nature will work it's wonders and who knows how many i'll end up with?
my fiance's family has twins and triplets riddled through it, so i could have a million children in 10years!! lol

I started out wanting 8 but after I had one... that number went down to 4. I still want 4 but I think we'll just have one more to make 3. :)

lets see, I have two of my own. BUT my boyfriend wants one of his own once we get married. BUT my tubes are tied. So I think we will medically find someway around that one, and hopefully have another kid that he can call his own. he's wanted to be a daddy since he was 10........poor thing. Means soooo much to him.
