Hi this is my system for naming my reptiles and i also find it a bit of fun as well.first i take the scientific or Latin name of the reptile and from that i make a name for the animal in question. or i look at the area the animal comes from you can get some great names from both of these systems. be live me when you have as many reptiles as i do names like Jake and SAM are the first to go.

I was a boat skipper on Jungle rivers for a number of years, and there was a giant python that always hung around on one particular banyan tree. I passed by him every day, so I named him.
