Usuelly when a person commits suicide, they don't have much self esteem. Edie Brit has never struck me as having low self esteem.

I think it's all in the loneliness. I have a friend who's around the same age, in the same situation, she talks about how lonely she is all the time, every guy she meets won't take her seriously....(it's funny cause my friend is even a Real Estate agent like Edie too!) I just want Carlos and Gabby back together anyway.

I'm a guy and I watch too.
Edie was depressed and saw no way out of it so she hung herself. Too bad she didn't have the self esteem to live for herself and her son, not wanting to be validated by a man even though she did do him wrong.

I was shocked. I don't really think that they will kill her off. I would think that they might have a really good story with Brie's daughter being prego with her great niece or nephew and Edie finding out. I hope that the scarf or the beam breaks. This could be a good story line for them. She's the best villain on there right now.

I can't say that anything on that show shocks me. It's a night time soap opera, so anything goes. Is she really dead, we see feet dangling, but will someone come to save her, will the scarf slip, it's always something unexpected on the show. Is it a surprise that the great wedding isn't all it's been cracked up to be? Will it last? Is it a surprise that Susan didn't marry Ian and married Mike. twists and turns, but it all works out. Well, we have a summer to wonder, which is what Marc Cherry wants us to have. It guarantees that there will be big ratings on opening night.

It beat the shellac out of me. BTW, I'm a guy and I watch the show every Sunday, and I also want Carlos and the conceited Gabrielle to be together again. Anyway, back to football.

There is no way that Edie Britt is dead! That's the way they keep you coming back for more. Think about it, Edie didn't even love Carlos, so why would she kill herself over him?

I am SHOCKED!! I can't believe that the show write her off this way. I am sure there has to be a twist to this plot. She can't commit suicide.
My husband said that there's no way the scarf can hold her body weight. LOL

sure! It became marvelous. I had a feeling that Nora became the only that became going to be killed off. i'm happy that it extra the main considerable characters closer and presented the hot neighbor. i ask your self now how Lynette is going to handle 5 babies?

With 2 weddings and being rejected again, I can see it. She has no self worth except her looks and we all get older. I think the key was her mother saying she would end up like her alone.

What is Desperate Housewives? Is this one of those alternate living things people sit around and watch on television, cause their own lives are so boring that they have to fill the boring hours living vicariously through someone else's imagination? Have you ever read the book Desperate Housewives?
