Coach or Manager. The front office job does the firing.

General Managers, easily, are less likely to get fired than a coach or manager. In each of the major team sports, maybe a couple of GMs lose their jobs each year, where as a half dozen or more coaches will get ousted. Sometimes more. GMs definitely have a longer job expectancy.

Coach/manager is hired to be fired. The GM is next to go if the team is absolutely in ruins or there is a irreconcilable difference with the owner.

The gegneral manager takes more heat from upper management so I would say the GM goes first even though the coach may be to blame.
