.on its own, Ive even had lights going on and off at night and voices downstairs..but now this and the light went out , right then , im going to get a priest .has any of you had ghosts?

Before you get a priest, try this:
First - MAKE SURE THE REASON IS PARANORMAL. Get your electrics checked, see if there are passing things that might cause these things e.g. trains, busy roads etc, check for draughts etc. Could the voices be due to noisy next door neighbours and thin walls?
If it is paranormal then try this:
Open the door to the room(s), and the nearest outside door.
Ask the spirit politely to leave. Give it a reasonable amount of time. Most spirits are not hostile and will leave when asked. Be polite but firm. Make sure you don't block the door - you have to provide an exit.
If this doesn't work...
Try reading scriptures aloud in the affected room(s). This has often been reported to eliminate lingering spirits. It is OK to use most religious books - muslims may leave a tape of Qu'ranic readings running on a continuous loop for several days or until the spirit departs, Christians may read from the Christian Bible, Jews can use special sections of the Kabbalah etc.
- Clean your home completely. Wash windows, eliminate clutter, bring lights into dim areas, wash floors and linens.
- In a loud clear voice ask them to leave again. Tell them if they don't leave you will make them. Affirm to them that you will not warn them again, and that they must leave. Again, make sure the doors are open and not blocked.
Get a small silver bell and a white candle. Walk through the house, making sure to go to each corner of each room, carrying the lit candle. Go CLOCKWISE round the room. Ring the bell in each corner of each room. Leave the doors open to give the spirit a chance to leave. Repeat the process walking around the exterior of the house, again ringing the bell at each corner. Place sea salt in each corner of the room as you go. Use sea salt rather than iodinised or table salt as these two are not always natural. Sea salt acts as a purifier in both pagan and Christian rituals.
Only if you've tried all of these and the haunting persists, should you call in a professional to remove the spirits. Some paranormal societies and wiccan societies may perform an exocism, and most Catholic diocese will have someone who can do it but you might have to wait. Many other faiths have similar people they can call on.

I'm not sure it's a ghost but there is a "presence" for lack of a better word that manifests in my bedroom corner. Without fail, when it appears someone or something dies within three days. During the last manifestation a strong breeze flowed from the corner. The windows are all sealed and there are no cracks or anything else to explain it.
When a dear friend died a couple of years ago, the manifestation lingered longer than usual and actually woke me up a couple of times.
I know it sounds nuts, but I don't think it's evil. I think it comes to warn and prepare us then stays out of sympathy. I

Have an electrician check your wiring first. It the cause of your "ghost" is from bad wiring, the priest will not even be able to identify it. Once you have proven that the effects of the ghost do not have a physical cause, then you call a priest in.

Prepare to make a movie. The priest will laugh to himself. What if the ghost is also Catholic? How much of a donation will you have to give in order to chase away Casper?

I have. all you can do is ask out loud what they want. they are looking for something or someone, maybe they dont know they are dead. all a priest can do is bless the house...but if its a bad ghost, you would KNOW it. i wouldnt worry too much unless its a bad ghost.

Do you live in a really really old house? Check the wiring and the plaster in the ceiling. If it's too old, stuff is just gonna start happening, and by happening I mean breaking.

You can trying throwing salt. I would get a priest and have them bless all the rooms.
