Maybe you put too much chemicals on there. Maybe the local dogs think that place is a urinal. Or maybe as the above guy suggested grubs have eaten the roots off (although it is strange that only one area is affected). Try digging up part of that area and see what you find.

You can't go wrong trying new grass seed there. Rake up any thatch and scarify the soil with a rake. Then put down seeds as per the instructions on the box or sack they came in. Keep watering until it is up and established there.

There are a number of products you can try for this problem. I've used q whole bunch of these products and they're all pretty much the same. You can find these products at pretty much any landscape supply company. You may just want to get some topsoil and plant some new grass. The best course of action is probably to call 1-800-TOPSOIL or check out www.1-800TOPSOIL.com to see if they have a member in your area. They seem to have reputable members nationwide, and they could probably help you decide what you should do, and they can probably deliver whatever you may need to be delivered. I've calle dthese guys in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and they got a good operation going.

First, you need to find out what caused the dead grass. If you see patches of dead grass in an otherwise healthy lawn, it is probably grubs. Just dig up some turf and see if they are there. There is a treatment for grubs (forget the name) at any store that has a garden center.

you will could desire to get rid of the lifeless grass first. then you definately will could desire to loosen quite a few inches of the sol in the previous spreading the seeds. ascertain the seeds stay moist till the grass starts off becoming. while we did our backyard we had to maintain our canine out of the backyard for 3 weeks. the guy at homestead depot reported that their isn't a fertilizer that's one hundred% risk-free for babies or animals.

You may have too much fertilizer in that spot actually, it can burn in the sun. If you have fertilized that spot, try watering it down fairly well with water, time and TLC...Good luck!
