If you saved $ 50,000 in your company IRA plan, can your spouse take half of that in a divorce.
Both of us have masters degrees and worked all through the marriage, and there are no children involved.
Please let me know if there are specifications on amounts, etc... Thank yoiu

Typically it is split 50/50 but anything can be negotiated in a divorce. There's no hard and fast rule. Check with your lawyer. You have a lawyer I hope?

The Individual in IRA does not mean it is yours alone. Spouse gets half. As for specifications and amount that depends on who has the best lawyer. You may get the elevator or the shaft. Not both!

If you are both professionals with good earning potential, and there are no children, then there is a chance you can keep it. But it depends on the duration of the marriage and whether she worked or not during that time. If she was a stay at home wife and has to get training and reenter the job market and has nothing, she is going to get a percentage of your IRA. Good luck, buddy.

depends on other assets you have.
i believe the bottom line is all is split 50/50 (depending on state) so your IRA will be thrown in with all other "investments" and split.
