There is no real average. I'm 34 and still fight it.

It varies. My son is 20 and finally getting his under control with the help of medication. His dad still has the occasional problem with it and he is 48. Most people can have some type of problems with acne well into adulthood, but the intense breakouts tend to end during the teen years. If it gets bad, starts scarring, or is severe past about 15, you might want to consult a dermatologist.

Well for me it lasts about 4 days after my period.

I've known people to have it into their adulthood. If you have it be sure to eat fresh foods and drink lots of water. A friend of mine stopped drinking milk and eating cheese and his acne went away substantially, not to mention he lost weight. So that could help too. A lot of natural remedies do help in a way that doesn't strip your skin of natural oils. A lot (not all) of times our skin is a reflection of what we have been ingesting.
