My sister just bought me a blue lobster with pink dots on his tail.She doesn't remenber what kind of lobster he is,and I would like to look up his proper care.Does anyone have any ideas on what spiecies he might be?

One bit of advice I'd give from keeping them - keep the pH above 7 by adding a little crushed coral or seashells to the tank and give them a little bit of cuttlebone (used for pet birds) or a calcium supplement to keep thir exoskeletons hard. The higher pH seems to intensify the blue color.

There are many species of crayfish, but most require the same type of care. They are carnivores, and will eat small fish if they can get a hold of them. They will also do a number on live plants if you have them, so be careful. They will grow to 3-6 inches in length. Water specs are not critical, but keep it clean. Lifespan ranges from 2-3 years.
