I put quotes around "races" because i don't believe in them. Different cultural backgrounds, sure, but not in races. And I cannot think of one good reason for the separation of people by color, creed, or background, or "sticking with your own kind". I once asked a work acquaintence if he found this incredibly beautiful, hot black woman to be attractive. He said, "No, I believe in the purity of the white race and no mixing with others." I believe this for all people, that to intentionally stick with your own color or creed, even when presented with many attractive and intelligent alternatives, that to refuse to even consider someone as a partner because of their "race", is racist, supremist, etc. Argue as much as you wish, but separation creates inequality. I believe that the mixing of cultures and colors, and the dropping of religion, is the only hope for the world.

I don't consider myself racist but because of the Isralites getting into the trouble they did in the OT everytime they married outside of their race or religion, then God usually brought his wrath down because they were in disobedience. I have other races married into my family and I have worked with some wonderful people that are not of my race and taught children of different races, taken care of patients of difference races and had no problem at all doing this. I don't believe one race is any better than another as a race but there are sorry people in all races. Color of skin has nothing to do with the way a person acts, believes or anything else. God made us all and made different colors and personalities. Can you imagine how boring this world would be if we were all one race and all had the same opinons etc.?

I do not show hatred against anyone who does not look like me. I am a black woman and I choose not to date outside of my race because of my "preference" and who I feel comfy with for now...Who nows...this view may change and I'm very cool with that. The social group I hang around happens to be all black women but we are brought together by our individual spirits and personalities. I believe in people being comfy and true to themselves as well as their environment. Honestly, no one is 100% anything. Things like gender, sexual orientation, race, age, class, religion, etc are all on a sliding scale. We as humans just have to "get in where we fit in". We are all walking "gumbos" is you may say that makes us all unique and beautiful. Seperation could create inequality....but through history...intergration has created inequality. Look at the intergration of schools in the 50's and 60's until these present times. Black/Other Minority students were/are bussed from their schools in their communities to majority "white" schools because they were/are "better". This caused/causes many schools in the community to go under. Personally I also think that parents along with communities need to take our schools back and stop waiting for the government to "deliver". We may have to fundraise a little more. All schools need to be brought up to "good" for everyone regardless. Our children deserve only the best!

i dont think the seperation segregation of races is a good
thing.
but
every city ive ever lived in seemed to have it to a large extent
ghettos for africans
indians
chinese
etc
it seems to occur naturally
people wanting to live with there own kind
other not wanting to move into niebourhoods
full of a different racial group
the only time we seem to mix is when the bus passes through
one of these ghettos.
multiculturalism is a niave lie at best
were all (unfortunately) fundamenttally racist
it will take more than a few laws and a few PC
idiots to breed a non predjudiced human being

Sorry, but "races" are VERY real - and I can prove it - some races get certain medical conditions that others don't. The only place "racism" belongs is as a specialized category of medicine, and its already happening - some medicines are specifically targeted to certain races.

As to claiming to not be a racist versus actually being one, that is not the same thing. I'm sure a lot of people claim not to be racist not realizing that they are being racist in some of their beliefs.

Good question, btw.

I personally agree with you 100%, as well as I also don't believe there actually are any "pure" races left on the planet..at all.

Even the "white supremacists" can be traced back a few generations and it can be found that indeed their families have also be inter-mingled.

I believe only in the good word and deeds of individuals and the good graces we all possess. Call me a ******** optimist...but that's just how I feel.

I really like that movie "Bulworth" with Warren Beatty. Reading this question, I am reminded of a quote from that movie. "We've got to keep f@cking until everyone is the same color."

There will always be people trying to separate others and label and quantify them. Hopefully Darwin will eventually take care of that problem.

I am not one of the people who believe in separation of ethnicities being that I am multi-ethnic, but I do know quite a few of varying ethnicities who do subscribe to such beliefs. I definitely agree with you, though I'm not so sure about dropping religion....or maybe I'm just not sure of what you mean by that. You make interesting points nonetheless.
