I know it sounds like OCD but im not paranoid alot, but I get obsessed over things so easily, like favourite football team and favourite player but also people who I fancy, I dont get over anyone because I let myself like them too much and I dont know why! I can talk about people for hours and if they even look at me I like them more, my best friend knows and she thinks it's a bit weird as she takes ages to like people but has never thought it that serious, I could be making a big fuss over nothing but its been troubling me for a few days now and I thought I could ask. I cant think how I can explain, eg my football team, I get offended if people say there rubbish and so upset when they loose, it sounds like a big football fan I know but its more than that! Its in all aspects of my life, please help if you can!

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder does not mean you are paranoid. That is a pretty serious OCD person. But, it sounds, to me, like you are doing what alot of parents are doing and that is over-reacting. So what if people don't like your team. Think about it, if there wasn't another team, your team couldn't win. Hanging onto people who don't want you is self destructive, stop it right now.

Hi
OCD has nothing to do with paranoia, nothing at all. OCD is that you can not get to the next step without things being perfect. For instance, here is something little...

The switch plates in your home all have tiny screws. In my home all the screws har horizontal. When my boys play with me, they will change one to vertical. I am in the middle of doing something that is completely timed steps and doing fine with it. The I notice the screw on the plate infront of me is wrong. I cant continue with my timed project becaue I MUST stop, get the screwdriver and fix the screw. Now my project is wrong because I could NOT get past the screw thing.

This is really an insignificant example and the situations can be quite extreme, a problem of mine.

As for liking someone immediately and talking a lot. Welcome to the world of trusting everyone and being nice to everyone. I am the same way as you in this area. After years I have come to accept the fact that I am a very trusting person and yes, sometimes it hurts so you must becareful.

Take care

sometimes i feel the same way. the only advice i can offer is this: dont worry about the little things. a lot of the time people are so concerned with things that just dont matter. just ask yourself, "will this matter to me tomorrow?' and as far as liking people way too much or whatever~ you've got to realize there are millions of people around you everyday... if you have to not like one of them as much.. it's okay!! seems like you're looking for acceptance from people that you dont need.
