1999 Olds Bravada about 100k mileage. Drove fine yesterday. Parked inside overnight, won't start now. Sprayed gas into the intake - no luck... What now? Help please? Had some recent issues which were never confirmed, or even repaired - see previous questions for those details if needed.

Tried a jump - engine cranks but won't run. Lights still work

Battery had plenty of juice even before trying a jump.

I own a shop, and what I would do is this; The rule of thumb is you must have three things for an engine to run, fuel, fire, and compression. Since you sprayed some fuel to it, then check the spark plugs to see if they are firing. If you sprayed fuel into the intake, and nothing happened, remove one spark plug, and plug the wire onto it, ground it to the metal on the engine (to where it won't shock you), and hit the starter. If you have a good solid blue flame, it's something else, but if you have a weak red/orange flame, then you are loosing ignition somewhere. If you have no fire at all, then you may have a bad ignition module, coil pack, or faulty crank sensor. It would be good to pull the codes from the computer, as this would more than likely tell you what the culprit is. To speculate is like shooting ducks in a pond, maybe you will, and maybe you won't. Unless you have the tools to run the diagnostics, then you will be much better to have it towed to a reputable shop that can tell you more about it. This may sound stupid, but 75% of the time the problem will turn out to be a weak battery, and/or connections that just aren't supplying the juice to make her go. Rule out the simple stuff, and if that doesn't work, call someone for help.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Start basic. Juice? Got any lights, radio? If not jump it for starters. If weak, can't hurt. Loose connections need tightened? Check while jumping.

Starter grinding or not?

"Won't start" is pretty vague. It could be hundreds of posibilities.
Dead battery, Low battery, bad ground wire to engine, bad power wire to starter, bad power wire to battery, bad connection at battery post or terminals, blown fuse, bad key switch, bad starter, bad fuel pump, bad injectors, out of gas, neutral safety switch, seized engine, broken connecting rod, no compression, no spark, bad oil pressure switch, broken timing belt, plugged fuel filter, bad starter solenoid, bad starter, broken rotor, cracked distributor cap, Anti-theft device, water in/on engine, out of gas, vacuum leak, bad gas, bad ignition coil, blown computer, faulty cam or crank sensor ...

I could list 50 more things easiy...

When you turn the key to start it, what happens?

Could you be a little bit more specific??

try calling mechanics or auto parts stores in your area, they will ask you questions to help single out the problem.
