Is it possible to transform lightwaves into soundwaves?

I am doing a science project, and I am making and invention, and i was just wondering if it was possible to make lightwaves, into soundwaves, because the things that I am making is is reading and alking so i need an answer fast!

You'd probably want to use a prism to split the light into colors, and then put light sensors at different points along this spectrum. The light sensors could control some sort of audio output...

yes for waves only but structure is impossible.
