It drips all the time! I've looked and looked (or so I thought) for the problem, but I can't see anything dripping, or where it's coming from. My husband doesn't seem too worried about it, but it drives me CRAZY!!!!! Please help!

How can I check to see if the drain is clogged?

Ya'll, I know the A/C is supposed to drip. I know it will sweat. But I am not supposed to be able to hear the dripping, right? This just started about a month ago, we've been living there for two years.

Sounds like your condensate drain may be clogged or your condensate pump has stopped working.

Your central AC is dripping water most likely because the drain line is plugged. Either the pan is plugged or the drain line itself is plugged. If you don't have somebody that is Handy to check it out have a professional look at it. It could cause a serious problem by damaging the furnace and the structure of the home.

That dripping is from the moisture in the air around your house being pulled towards the air conditioner becuase moisture is attracted to cold surfaces. Think about when you pull a cold soda out of the fridge. It builds up condensation after sitting for a little bit. Its the same thing.

You need to have the equipment serviced. Call an hvac service company. Your A/C should be serviced regularly anyways.
