Eligibility for benefits is determined based on past wages, reason for job separation, and availability and job search requirements. A claim cannot be filed without a social security number.
Employer-issued separation letter or notice, if one was provided.
Names and addresses of all employers for the last 18 months and the dates worked for each.
Proof of immigration status if not a U.S. citizen.
Personal check with account number and bank routing number if you want benefits deposited directly into to a checking or savings account.
Claims are effective on the date they are filed and are not retroactive to the last day worked.

In the US:
You have to have been employed by an employer that paid your social security to the feds, and any state unemployment insurance that was required (in otherwords, you can't have been paid "under the table").

You cannot have been 'fired' for cause, or just 'quit' for your own reasons -- you have to have been layed off, or 'RIFed' (reduction in force).

There may be other restrictions put on it by your individual state, but those are the basics, above.

u have to be jobless and fired from previous place of work after being there at least 5 months (or something like that). u cannot collect if u quit the job

work 3 months or longer. Working more than 18 hours/week. you must be 18^. You must of been a parttime/fulltime employee and not a temp/seasonal employee.

In the U.S., the general requirements for employment are: Legal age; no outstanding warrants; can pass a drug test; high school diploma or equivalency (usually); transportation; references.

You must have lost your job due to no fault of your own. You must have been a regular employee (not temporary). You must have worked at the job for more than a trial period.

for ohio--you must have earned at least $181 before taxes--worked at least 20 weeks---figure out if it was( just cause)of your leaveing or fired--

depends on the state, and how you lost your last job. if you were fired for cause, then you will probably be denied. if laid off, then probably ok. all depends.
