1. Dictionary- Spell Check is hardly a substitute.
2. World Atlas -you got to know where things are.
3. Road atlas to the country you live in-you got to know ho to get there..
4. Encyclopedia.
5. "The Little, Brown Handbook" English composition manual (how to write in English).

Depends on the life u live. For me i would need engineering reference books. People in law would need law reference books. There is no one book that all humans should have.....maybe a dictionary

I really good dictionary, be aware that the newer dictionaries no longer include the archaic spellings and definitions.
Encyclopedias are best at the library because they are update every year.
Theseus are very good too!
Atlases are best used in the library because the world is constantly changing.
I use everything often. The internet is the best souce of information that you can use.

If your asking which books should be kept at all times that's simple the latest editions of the dictionary and the encyclopedia britanica and the holy book of your particular faith.and a world atlas.
