That all depends on the baby's size--obviously you think he/she may not be eating enough-- please go see your pediatrician-they will weigh the baby and let you know if he/she is feeding properly. Some babies like people, do not eat a lot at one feeding, so talk to the doctor but before you go help him out by keeping a record of exactly how many ounces your baby is taking in a 24 hour period. This will be greatly appreciated by your pediatrician. If the volume is enough but your baby has not met the "chart standards" and you will get to know all about the percentiles from the pediatrician, he may recommend a different formula which has more protein in it and may also recommend vitamins.

So don't worry, keep track for just 24 hours of how many ounces the baby is ingesting and see your pediatrician.....good luck to you and your little bundle!!

As you can see from all the other answers- the amount varies- and right so- it is based on the baby's age and weight - so please just monitor his/her intake for 24 hours and bring that number to the pediatrician only HE can be the person to determine what is right and best for your baby.

My three month old was a good sized baby and she drank 3-3.5 ounces every 3 hours. I would feed her 4 ounces after her night time bath and she would sleep all night.
She's 7 months now and she only drinks 5 ounces. Babies gain the majority of their fat cells in the first year of their life. I think overfeeding children is a serious problem that our country has and leads to unhealthy eating habits in later life.

About 6 oz every 3/4 hours but each child is different if you feel like your child is drinking too much try hungrier baby milk , if you feel like its not enough have a chat with your health visitor.

More than a pint and less than a fifth. Stick to clear liquors, dark liquors have a lot of impurities.
