I think there would be more pressing issues at hand, namely my spontaneous transmutation into a small auburn canid.
Still, I'd keep clear of the countryside. I wouldn't want to be torn to shreds by a hunt.

I might be tempted to stay in the city if I wasn't afraid of getting killed or hunted down. I've never seen the big city before. I currently live close to our downtown, but it's not anything special. If it was a big city worth seeing I'd probably stay. Otherwise I'd go to the country. I know what to expect there.

It would be a crap shoot either way. Staying in the city would most likely be easier in terms of finding food. Humans leave so much waste, especially in a city, that it easily feeds many animals. The downside, however, would be the fact that I would be living near many of the world's most efficient and ruthless predators, humans. Life in the country would be more difficult in terms of finding food, but perhaps easier to survive in the long run. I would choose the country.

I'd leave this rural area for someplace undeveloped by humans. Idiots around here make sport of running down wildlife.
