Comments, Opinions, and helpful thoughts will be much appreciated!
This would be my opinion and my thoughts. I don't think it is America that is the hypocrite I believe it is a select few individuals that are. Most of my encounters involve politicians that lack integrity and when they speak you don't know which side of the mouth you should be listening to.
It is unfortunate that people consider this as speaking for the whole of America. When in reality they speak only for themselves.

There are certainy examples of American hypocrisy throughout history, but beware of some examples that are not so true. For example, although America did stop the flow of weapons to Japan, it was in response to horrible atrocities that the Japanese were committing in Manchuria. And the possibility for a president to be elected despite losing the popular vote is simply a part of their election system - it goes by weight of entire states rather than by simple majority of votes; a system that appears to work. Many great American presidents have been minority presidents. So in your search for American hypocrisy, make sure that you first know the whole story.

Hmmm where to begin.
1.After fighting a war for the "freedom" and "equality" of men, America was one of the last civilised countries to abandon the slave trade.
2. Again after freeing themaselves from a "tyrannical" yoke, they set about to fulfill their "manifest destiny" killing, robbing and tyrannising local inhabitants of America. ie The Native Americans and the Mexican(although they weren't native), also the Phillipines and Puerto Rico along with Afghanistan and Iraq serve as fine examples of the American Empore.
3. Claiming the japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was unprovoked. The USA was lucky it didn't come earlier following the numerous trade embargoes against Japan.
4. Claiming to be "pro" democracy when it's one of the least democratic countries in the developed world.(2 party voting system, guantanomo bay, the patriot act, Freedom of Speech(!!?).
5 Ignoring the plight of the Jews in WW2, then claiming after the war that they had liberated Europe from the evil Nazis, when in fact they had done it to further expand the American empire and impede the Russians. Another interesting point is that Japanese civilians were kept in internement camps in WW2. Not very democratic considering most of them were American born, citizens of the USA.
Seriously though no hatred for America, yere all lovely people and where would we be without McDonalds and fat people :p
Only Joking!

specific, the rhetoric does not tournament the fact. How and why must be ******* glaring to all and sundry who will pay interest. Our government is on the market and paid for by way of vast corporation. law is being surpassed that whittle our liberties somewhat greater at a time. Our united states of america is unofficially broke. Our united states of america's bloated spending on the militia cannibalizes our skill to maintain healthcare, training etc. for my area the like it or leave sentiment is very the epitome of the hypocrisy and here is why. it particularly is meant to be a saying that promotes patriotism, despite if by way of telling people basically leave incredibly than have the want to combat for what they think of might make a greater helpful united states of america it particularly is in reality doing the right opposite. all and sundry who disagrees with the 2d paragraph of this submit, there is in easy terms one element i will say, you're a mindless moron who values conformity better than intelligence.

We live in a country with separation of Church and State, yet, a bunch of people got together and (in the name of good Christian Folk) altered the Constitution of the United States. Prohibition. And then to add insult to injury, we all just drank more.

Deciding someone is hypocritical is a value judgment and not everyone will agree. Human beings often say something then do another -- it's a fairly widespread flaw! If you find instances when the U.S. said one thing then did another (especially if it's the complete opposite of what they said), I guess you'll have your answer(s).

Yes! How about when our ancestors came to this country and immigrated here without any issues, but now our governement is attempting to keep other people from immigrating here. What is up with that? How can we say it was o.k. for our ancestors, but not for anyone else? Whatever happened to: Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
Ask the first American Indian what they think about the whole issue.
