His stats thus far make a good case for that.

Too early to answer this question. Remember in the beginning or the year everyone was ready to give that honor to Felix Hernandez. Before the season everyone was ready to hand the honor to Carlos Zambrano. Injuries and early struggles make this question hard to answer. I will say that he is in the argument though. Others would include Peavy, Hammels, Beckett, Sabathia and Smoltz.

Maybe the best of the young pitchers in the game this year with a big up-side. Certainly one of the top ten or fifteen.

he is having a great year so far, but the season is far from over. I think Johan Santana will be as good or better by the end of the year.

Don't know of any Cole Hammels. Cole Hamels is a pitcher for the Phils, and may be the best young arm in the NL. Please check your spelling before you ask a question.

based on the year, i agree with brian, haren has been amazing. recently though, i think that tim lincecum is going to be awesome. asides from the first start, he has a 1.28 ERA in 14 innings and16 Ks. overall he has a 3.44 ERA in 18.1 innings with 21 Ks.
