Ron Paul, being a TRUE conservative, does not support the Illegal witetaps, nor does he support most of the PAT ACT. Will the pseudo conservative Bush and McCain lapdogs call him liberal for actually standing up to the ideals of conservatism. Or is the GOP finally ready for real conservatism even though it goes against most of What bush and the rest of the called conservatives believe in?

There is no way I will support anyone for the office of US president who doesn't have a plan for fighting terrorism.

Use any label you wish.

The GOP will stick with what it's doing now this presidential election cycle, because they are stuck on their "base" and all their major players are determined to cater to this segment i.e. the Neo-Conservatives and Far Religous Right. They will probably pay the price for it, and move more toward Ron Paul's direction in the 2010 congressinol election cycle, though they probably won't go as far as him or give him any credit or a leadership position. And a BTW for the person who says Paul is a Libertarian not a Conservative; Libertarians are the ulitmate conservative, in that they believe in great individual freedom with great individual responsibility, which is the basic philosophy that the U.S. was based on.
