This stock has been flat lined so long I either need to unload or see some reason not to do that. So I need to know if anyone is interested in this business as an acquisition.

the general answer is that no one outside the interested parties and company management can find that out. Everyone would be sworn to secrecy if there was any hint of a deal.

The reason is that trading ahead of the deal on information that isn't public is a crime [ask Martha Stewart].

Without looking at the company's fundamentals or a stock chart, if it is 'flat lined' as you say -- that's a good reason for a stock trader to sell. Money that isn't working for you [gaining] needs to be redeployed to somewhere that it will work for you.
