I eat meat, I just think it is so funny that we criticize Michael \ick for dog fighting , but that is nothing compared to what goes on in a slaughter house and it doesn't even cross our minds when we pull up to Mcdonalds

Because what all goes into getting a fighting dog. The guys who do that will cut the dogs and put gunpowder in the wounds. Make them drink gas to make them crazy. Pretty much when a fighting dog is discovered they have to kill it because it really isn't anyway to make it a pet because of the treatment they get. These are also the dogs drug dealers get to put in front of their houses.

Of course killing of livestock isn't nice but at least there is a purpose for that. The only reason for the treatment of fighting dogs is for entertainment. Plus there is no way for a casual observer to know if a dog is for fighting or a regular dog, and that can lead to some needless deaths. Dogs can be very vicious when they attack.

Because Dog fighting serves no purpose but to amuse a group of people through the suffering of two animals. Nothing productive is gained. However by hanging cows and pigs by their hind feet we are able to slit the throat and quickly drain the blood from the body thus preserving more of the meat.
Man, I feel like eating a Bacon-Cheese burger now!
Later days.

Most slaughter houses use a stun gun, which shoots a metal rod into the animal's brain killing instantly, more or less. The animals are also eaten after being butchured and processed. Dog fighting seems stupid to me, because it serves no real purpose; all you have is 2 dogs mauling eachother for the entertainment of on-lookers.

That's because the animals that go to a slaughter house are for people to eat. Not just to watch how cruelly they can die. I feel that anyone who would watch or take part in a dog fight would let small children play in traffic and sit back and find it funny that they were hit by a car.

I'm guessing you have never even been to a slaughter house. Because if you had, then you wouldn't be asking this question. They don't hang pigs and cows by their feet until after they have been skinned. Take your agenda somewhere else because it's not working here.

The purpose is different. A pig or cow getting their throat cut is for the purpose of eating them. They are not beat or bit to death for no purpose whatsoever other than to watch them go at each other to see who wins.

It's like boxing and wrestling - no point to it other than seeing who wins - why? Who cares who wins?

Just my thoughts, though.

because the pigs and cows are used for human consumption. after a dog fight, you just throw them away. I mean we put fish in a bucket after you catch it, is that being meanspirited?
