Do you have any better ideas for 2 new teams?

To john w:

Las Vegas Gamblers?
That would cause a big scandal and Pete Rose would be pushing to have that team either relocated, renamed, or just simply disbanded.

Major League Baseball has a deep challenge keeping 30 teams going. I do not think adding more teams would be ideal for that organization.

The Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers are considered to be the three smallest market teams.

The only US metropolitan area that is larger than those three areas without a MLB team is Portland, Oregon and that region mostly cheers for the Seattle Mariners.

I agree with the Louisville Sluggers, but how about the Las Vegas Aces. If they got a good pitching staff that would be funny.

There are enough teams out there who can't afford to compete 92% of the time.

Why do we need more?

Personally, I think the Louisville Sluggers is too cliche
although, even if a team did get put there and it wasn't named the Sluggers, I'm sure the media would use the term Sluggers way to often anyway.

I'm against expansion (if you couldn't tell) so I can't come up with anything better
Sorry
have a good one

no expansion. they just need to move Tampa Bay to a better location. I would suggest the following cities New Orleans, Indianapolis, Nashville, Portland Oregon, or maybe another Canadian team in Vancouver.

in any event expansion is bad for the game. 1/2 the teams out there right now cannot compete because of their cheap owners and poor attendance. I say just move a team or 2 to a new city

I think it should be the Orgon Lumberjacks and the Baton Rouge Bombers but Louisville Sluggers is still a great idea

There is a big market in our globalized world, but I must say outside US, Maybe in Mexico or Venezuela, and they could be named Caracas Lions, and Mexico´s Devils.
We must understand that MLB is a business and as such it has to be ran, U.S. players are no longer as dominant as they were and Latin players are the dominant force now, if you do not beleive me just take a quick look at what´s going on around the mayors, and MLB gurus are aware and these are great markets for expansion and for globalizing the game

I do think that there will be two more American League teams in the future; right now there are only 14 as compared to the 16 in the National League.

Logistically, it will be tough to put teams in both cities you named. They are less than 200 miles apart, and very close to Cincinnati. Both Louisville and Indianapolis are part of the territory that is considered to "belong" to the Reds.

I'd like to see more Midwest/Southwest teams.

Oklahoma City Bandits
Las Vegas Gamblers
Montanna Bullriders
Cheyenne Bison/Buffalo
Topeka Sheriffs (seems only fair Kansas get a team since KC is in Missouri)
South Dakota Sioux
Idaho Taters (I like the double play on potatoes and homers)
Mississippi Riverhounds

Ideally I'd love it if every state had a team, just so fans from every state had someone to call their hometown team.

I think Las Vegas, Buffalo, San Juan, Monterey (Mexico) or Mexico City would all be better choices.
