how is it that the government says we dont have the money for the important things that our country need (USA). when we make our own money, yet give it away to outher countries?

we have what i like to call a budget. all out tax money go into that budget. i think some of the things that this country needs require big bucks that we cannot afford. and lets not forget that we are in the red in debt. but its an interesting question. star

Here it is.. We don't make our own money, we are supposed to the Constitution saids The Congress has the ability only to coin and print money, if we did that there wouldn't be runaway In flation,High taxes to pay interest on the debt, We decide how much we need, we tell the Federal Reserve Bank, (which is a private company) we need x amount of dollars, they print them and Waylay we have new money and a lower dollar value because it isn't backed by anything like Gold anymore,the Fed loans it to us we pay it back with interest,,..

What money the Government has is not 'made' it is raised by taxes and borrowing. Taxes take money away from people so they can't be too high. Borrowed money has to be paid back with interest, so you can't borrow too much. So if what we raise in taxes and what we borrow is not enough to pay for everything we want to do, then we have to make choices. You can't keep raising taxes, the people will revolt. You can't keep borrowing money, because then all of your money would eventually go to just pay the interest. You can't print money, because if the money did not come from somewhere, it is worthless.

Our money is being sent upstream to the wealthiest 1% of the wealthy, who shelter what they earn from taxation in a PO box in Bermuda.
A LOT has been sent to Iraq in the effort to pacify that country enough to allow the exploitation of its oil resources to begin. Don't be too concerned that literally BILLIONS of dollars IN CASH cannot be accounted for, we are assured by our President that he'll get to the bottom of it, though it's probably just some innocent mistake someplace.....
