they can tell at 14 weeks. BUT docs usually dont like to tell you until at least 20 weeks, b/c the gender is more developed. the gender is determined at conception; so its not at 5 months like someone said!! the genitals are developed enough to see at 14 weeks, its just hard to tell that early sometimes. i wanted one done at 19 weeks, just b/c hubby was going out of town, and they didnt want to until at least 20 weeks, b/c at 20, its more likely to get an accurate view. ie, the longer you wait, the more likely youll get it accurately! i know it sucks, but sometimes its best to just wait a bit longer, b/c most docs also wont do another one JUST b/c you couldnt see the sex of the baby.

You should be scheduling an Ultrasound in a few weeks here. Most Drs so them between 18 and 22 weeks, and at that time (as long as the baby cooperates and is positioned right) you should be able to tell!

They say 20 weeks they can definitely tell on an ultrasound. I was 16 weeks when they told me I was having a boy! There was no mistaking it. I've read between 16-20 they can be pretty accurate.
Very Best Wishes!
Congrats!

My daughter is also 18wks, and they could tell you the sex right now if you had an ultrasound.
From what I understand, it's possible to tell from an ultrasound by about 14-15 wks.
I found out the sex in one of my pregnancies at 17wks. I have a friend who was told at 14wks (by a 3D u/s.)

I had an ultrasound at 18 weeks, and they told me the sex of the baby right away (it's a boy).

Through a sonogram they can tell you as early as 16 weeks. Most doctors wait until 18-22 weeks before doing it though.

I was 20 weeks with my first, 26 weeks with my second, and 24 weeks with my 3rd (currently pregnant with her)
I believe your doctor should be able to tell now, but they like to wait and let the baby mature more to get a more accurate result

My friend got her done at 17 i got mines done at 20. I would wait until around 2o though and take a few sips of some mountain dew because then you will most likely be able to see. and the mountain dew isn't even to hurt anything if you only take a few sips.
