First off, there is doctor-patient confidentiality. The doctor cannot tell your mother anything you do not want her to know. It's called right to privacy.
Second, you should tell your mother that you are sexually active. I certainly hope that you are using birth control and taking responsibility for your sexual health. Also, if something unplanned were to happen, you would need the support of your parents.
Third, since you are sexually active, you will need a pelvic exam and tests for STDs. It doesn't matter how old you are...if you are sexually active, you need to have this done.
Fourth, there is another option. You can see your own doctor for a regular physical. However, for confidential, sexual health, you can go to Planned Parenthood. Pelvic exams, testing, and recommendations for birth control can all be done there. They won't tell your parents.
I hope this helps you out.

it's safe to assume that your still a minor and that you should not be sexually active, why it's like playing with a loaded gun, there are so many bad things that can happen and your doctor's appointment I suspect may be a result of this activity, would you allow a younger brother or sister to drive a car downtown I don't think so, besides pregnancy, stds, and infections those are physical you also have the emotional aspects to deal with as well, young males like to brag about there conquest which will make you the target for every erection around, then the name calling starts, I am not trying to be judgmental here it's nature and these are some of the results from promiscuous activity, what the greater concern here is your relationship with your mother she is absolutely your best friend in the world while she will be disappointed in your actions your honesty will help to nurture your bond with one another and this is the greatest need I see here, her advice will always be in your best interest get yourself under control and listen to her it could save you a lifetime of pain and yes even your very life , hope this helps!

Even though she may be paying medical costs there is something called Doctor-patient confidentiality. The doctor does not have to tell your mother any info about you with maybe a few possible exceptions. Again, if you are over 18 the doctor does not have to tell our mother a single thing.
Something like pregnancy of course will show up eventually.
Sidenote: if you are active make sure you and your partner are careful, always using barrier methods (condom). NO GLOVE, NO LOVE.

Well the dr. is not allowed to tell her anything. You can ask her to leave the room during your exam, and the only thing a dr. can say is that your hymen has been broken, but that can happen putting in a tampon.
For your sake, I hope you are at least using condoms because if you aren't telling your mom about you having sex, then you won't be able to get birthcontrol.

If you are old enough to take on the responsibility of having sex, then you need to be old enough to own up to it. All actions have consequences and you chose this action so now you have to deal with it's consequences.

if you are active, you should have an exam. as far as the doctor is concerned, it is illegal for him to share your medical information with your mother if you are 16 or older.
