Why buy the cow when you can milk it for free. I think you need to find a better alternative. Do you have financial means? If so start taking control!

You are equally responsible for the situation. You let it slide for 7 years and give consent to having kids. On what grounds do you stand to leave unless the guy is abusive or having affairs. Actually, technically the word affair doesn't apply because you 2 have no contract and commitment to each other.

It's really up to you to decide. Is being married more important to you than this relationship? What is it about 'being married' that you want in your life? Have you let him know why that's important to you? Do you understand his feelings regarding this? Do you respect each other's feelings on 'marriage'? Is there a compromise you can meet that will leave you both feeling fulfilled? Maybe you could have a civil marriage, but not a religious one. Would that leave both of you satisfied?

I feel like marriage is a little over-rated. It is a beautiful thing to experience but you've lasted this long without the certifcate, that's all it is. And look at it this way. If you don't work out then you part amicably. Going through the divorce process is painful for all involved. Just be glad that he is still by your side.

Yes, your kids deserve to live with both of their parents. If marriage was so important, you wouldn't have started living with a man and making babies before getting married.

Whose name is on the birth certificate? You have no legal standing as a wife and if something happens to him you are SOL. You are good enought to play with but not good enough to marry it would seem. Move on with your life and find somebody who values your presence enough to marry you, not just play house and polish the pickle.

ask yourself, do you need a ring and certificate to validate his love for you. If you know ,and he knows, and the lord knows, then what purpose does a ring and certificate serve. He can buy you a ring anytime and he will pay more because he can use all the money he was going to on the wedding to buy your ring YEAH!
