No, don't do this trade. Jermaine Dye is hitting home runs but his batting average is horrible. Wells is a better option in the outfield. Wells can hit for a higher average and score more runs while hitting for a much better batting average. They should be close in home runs.

I don't like the Utley for Ramirez part. Yes, Utley is the best fantasy 2nd baseman, but Ramirez has been one of the few 3rd baseman playing to potential this season. Obviously the other person knows that and wants Ramirez. Ramirez will hit more HR's and have more RBI than Utley in my opinion.

I like Ramirez a lot more than Utley on a fantasy team this season.

I also like Wells more than Dye this season.

I would hold onto the players you have. I don't think the other person would propose the trade if he didn't think he was getting the better end of the deal.

So, I wouldn't do it.

I would pull the trigger. I think Dye, especially now is going to end up with similar Fantasy numbers as Wells. As far as Utley for Aram, Utley is the clear best 2b option in Fantasy by far. I even like his fantasy numbers to be much better than Ramirez. It's a great trade, not sure what your backup 3b is, that would factor into my decision here too. If you're comfortable with your back up then I wouldn't think twice about making this deal. At the end of the year Dyes numbers will be very similar to Well's. Remember the ChiSox bats haven't hit well this year, up until now. And with Thome back and Konerko starting to heat up, Dye will continue to be a force at the dish. Utley is great week in and week out and Aram is at his highest asking price he'll ever be at. Aram is great but will come back down a little while Utley will continue to produce at a high level all season. Remember also Utley was a 1st round pick, you're getting the best player in the trade and that is alwas important.

Do you need Utley or do you have viable options at 2B? Dye's not going to repeat his career 2006 numbers. He's not a bad player, but clearly the worst player on the list. I'd favor going with Ramirez and Wells, but it depended on if I really need Utley. The upgrade to getting him might be worth it.

I wouldn't do it personally, but it isn't that bad of a deal. Utley is a 5 tool guy and dye gives you some power, but you're giving up more power with ARam. If you really need more consistency in your offense I would consider it. But just from the looks of it I wouldn't....Aramis is a beast!!!

What a close call. Trades are always the best when both sides get something. I believe I would hang in there with Ramirez and Wells

It seems like a pretty fair trade on the surface but, you have to look at your club as a whole before deciding. Can you lose what your two players are doing to help you win and/or can the two players you're getting help you in places where you lack scoring?
