You really can't say till 12, 21,12 comes and goes. it may have something to do with the earth wobbleing, or it may just mark a point in time significant to the mayans. when you look back on great civilization, we tend to see their greatest achievments in the name of god/religion. To me I believe something astronomically important will actually happen, but I doubt it will be a doomsday scenario, whether or not it is, the date alone, marking the winter solstice is amazing, and makes you wonder how the heck they were able to achieve such a feat.

Yeah it's when a Mayan calenday runs out. You can see that they fortold the future so well that they disappered 1100 years ago. The end of the world is actually Feb 2008. Thta's when my Barnes and Noble calendar with the dogs on it runs out.

Yes. We all know that the future cannot be predicted.
We also know that anyone who claims otherwise is either credible or fraudulent.
We also know that on Dec 22, 2012, the question and/or its answer won't make any difference.
Anything else you'd like to know?

Every time someone predicts the date of the end of the world, they get it wrong. Look at the link below - people have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years now.

Yes, I saw all of that. However, I don't think we are going to
make it to 2012. There is this lady named Hillary Clinton that thinks she is going to save the world in 2008. If she makes it to President of the United States we can all bend over and kiss our behinds goodbye.
