I am very interested in getting into programming/web development as a hobby. I am more interested in building fancy/robust websites rather than applications development. I have some experience with Flash 8 and HTML/CSS. Where should I go from here? Are there some good places online to learn about other technologies?

w3schools.org is a standard place to go on in depth with web development. If you want to delve into some OReilly books you could either buy 'em or enroll (costs $) in their "Safari" (*NOT* to be confused with the Mac browser) online book reading program: OReilly is a standard web documentation source.

Learn JavaScript and PHP. Buy a couple of books. Sit and read them one chapter at time and then play around with each chapters material on a test site.
