anybody like me and thinks that Vince Young is Overrated.He didnt deserve the OROY award and definitly not the Madden Cover. his QB rating last year was somewhere near grossmans so why is everyone saying hes sooooo good

are you kidding me? You obviously didn't watch any of his games last year. Who gives about stats. He threw, ran, broke tackles, and basically did whatever he wanted against NFL defenses, just like he did in college. He had crap for team mates, no WR's, no RB's, and a so-so line. Most of his INT's came in the fourth when his team was down. Vince young is one of the top ten QB's in the league, maybe even top five. Why don't you find some game film of VY instead of looking up stats...

No he is not overrated. What he did last year was incredible. The Titans were probably looking at another top 5 pick if he wouldnt have played. Yes i agree that he doesnt deserve the Madden Cover but all the other players EA asked declined and he was the only one accepted. If Marques Colston didnt get hurt then he would have won OROY but he didnt and Young did so get over it. I would change the Vince Young as being overrated and put either Tony Romo or Mike Vick.

How in Gods name can any NFL rookie QB ever be overrated? He is unbelievable for his age. Maybe there was 1 or 2 other close candidates for the OROY, but none of them where taking in the responsibility of QB. If you have ever played football you would know how stressful it is to lead a team from the QB position, All eyes on you. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time on this question. It's not like your ever going to take any of this in no matter how right I am. Your the kind of person who really doesn't know much about what you say, you just get an idea in your head and run with it.
However, no way in He// did he deserve the Madden Cover over Manning. I hate Peyton and I still feel Vince was the worst chioce.

Well Young being on the cover of Madden makes him overrated, yes indeed. He didn't deserve the rookie of the year either, Marques Colston did, or even Maurice Drew...Young only got it because he was the QB in the bunch. I think Vince Young will be a great QB in the league, on the level of Donovan McNabb but likely without the injury bug (if he can survive the so called Madden Curse). Overrated right now, wont be overrated when he leads his team to victory again and again in the future...I have faith in the guy.

I think he is underrated. He looks like a developing superstar to me. He is deceptively fast and very big and can pass well enough the defense has to respect his ability to burn them through the air. This man is a winner and I think the sky is the limit for this young man. You are correct that Grossman is terrible. If Grossman and Young traded places, the Bears would win the Super Bowl and the Titans would be at the bottom of the league.

I hate answring a question with a question but, Did you watch Vince any last year? How can you say he is overrated? Yeah his stats wasn't the greatest but you tell me a rookies who's is? HE WAS A ROOKIE, and at times his field presence was that of a 10yr. veteran. VY is a stud!!!!!!!!! Out of all the controversy of the QB's in the '06 draft we made the right pick. I guarantee you after watching his every play last year that we would not have been where we were with Leinart or Cutler!

Vince Young is the second coming of Michael Vick. Exceptional athlete but not a good quarterback. He has an injury attracting style and he will get hurt. Can't throw, so he runs and that won games last year but now every team will gameplan against that. I will hop on the bandwagon when either Vick or Young go to the Super Bowl, but I doubt it.

He did quite well for a rookie QB. Just give him another year or two and he will be eating teams up. You cant compare him to Grossman. Wait until Vince is in the league as long as Grosman then compare their QB rating. I bet Young's is at least 30 points higher.

i wouldn't say overrated or underrated. He had a good rookie season. I agree with you that Marques Colston had the better year though and should have been Offensive Rookie of the Year. Let's just see how well Young can do with the Madden curse on his shoulder this season.

overrated by some definitely
he won games.......but "he" didn't win them....he helped win them and people should give a lot more credit to his teammates than they are.
-even if you disagree with me on Vince being overrated (by some).....everybody should agree that his teammates aren't getting near the credit they deserve.
it's always "Vince Young won 8 games for the Titans"
as for "deserving" the Madden cover...EA can put on whoever they want
it just so happens that they think Vince will sell more games
and they're probably onto something....look at everyone who has jumped his bones lately
------------I should have also said that I agree Marques Colston should have gotten OROY
even though a lot of people are more impressed by his story (7th rounder to NFL stud) than his stats/what he accomplished
