Serious answers only please. I'm curious to see who supports the war and who doesn't and more importantly, why?

**This question came to me while watching Rosie on The View - she is so adiment about her answer... I don't think anything could sway her. Just curious how different people get their view and why.

I support the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, I also support our Troops and our President. I believe Saddam had WMD's even though no big stock piles have been found. He moved them out of the country secretly....I have my own theories on this. They are probably somewhere in Syria. At any rate, we are already there and fighting a war that must be fought. If not there, then it will be fought on our soil and no American, Republican or Democrat could stomach that.

War in Iraq: yes I support it.
Reasons for Support: Saddam had continuously flaunted UN sanctions and shown that he could not be trusted. The evidence that was available to the world showed that Saddam did indeed have WMD's which he would be more than happy to use. Furthermore, this man and his demented sons tortured and raped their own people.
Also, all is not doom and gloom in Iraq. Much of it has been subdued and fighting occurs in a small portion of the country, Don't believe all the news you hear in the media. Watch the news one day and be objective. Take notes on the types of stories covered and the manner they portray them. You'll see what I'm talking about.

I am against the war as it is only capable of damaging the US.
1. We are at war with a concept, not any nation;
2. We have no concrete mission in Iraq;
3. We were lied into Iraq;
4. US prestige has been severely damaged;
5. We can not "win" anything;
6. We have destabilized a region;
7. We create more terrorists every day;
8. The potential for expansion of the "war" into neighboring regions is enormous;
9. We are expending enormous resources both in men and material.

I do not support this war. We are in the middle of a civil war between waring factions, that has gone on for centuries. We will never be able to fix that country.
If another country would have come in here during our civil war, both sides would have run them out. Also, we are just creating more terrorists.

The Reality...
We are there...whether you like it or not.
Since we are there....the troops need our support.
Its that simple.
You can disagree with the war...but doesn't mean you can't support them.
The Sad thing is...there are Americans who do not want to win this war...because it would mean that Bush would look better...and it would hurt their anti-war stance. If you think about it....the anti-war people are gambling that the war is lost. Because if its not...then it makes them look bad. You people know who I am talking about. And it will weigh on your conscience. You can try denying it...But it will always be apart of your dark heart. You cannot run.
We are all human beings..And as such, we know whats lies in our hearts. You know what I say is true. Each of you know why you believe in what you believe. You cannot hide....Your heart reveals all.

I don't see any reason that we need to be meddling in another country's affairs. We suddenly seem to be self appointed cops. If they aren't threatening us then what right do we have to go attack? Keep in mind that Bin Laden was the one that attacked the WTC in 2001, not Iraq. I still don't see how they managed to connect the two in most people's minds. We've had a lot of good people killed over there...for what?

Yes. Because as much as it bothers me to say this, the more I have learned about the muslims, categorically, the more I see that they would either do us in or not stand in the way of those who would.
It is better to be destroying their country, than to allow them to destroy ours. Sucks eh?

I am against the war. It is wrong at every level. It should have never happened to start with.
