Ok. We've loved the name Kennan for several months now. But we almost went in to the hospital on Thursday and, that night, I started rethinking the name. I felt like if we went into have the baby that night, I wouldn't want to name him that. But my husband LOVES the name. We used to go back and forth on Sawyer also, but it went to the wayside when we came up with Kennan.
I'm just really stuck on what to name this kid! Gene is my grandfather's name and Kolbee would let me call Kennan "KK" which I think is a cute nickname.
Do you like either of these? If not, tell me what you do like. We like uncommon names, but names that aren't too crazy.
Thanks.

I love Sawyer and I understand the sentiment of Gene. I don't think KK is a great nickname.
Boy names that I like are Hayden, Cole, Carter, and Lane (just a few).
I also think Kennan Sawyer would be cute if you are definately stuck on Kennan. Good luck!!!!

Until I got to the part about your wanting to use KK as a nickname, I was going to suggest you switch the names to Kennan Gene and Sawyer Kolbee (Kolby is a better spelling for me), If you Have your heart set on KK, go with it, although using Gene, with it's sentimental origin, is a nice touch.

I don't like either of these names. Sorry.
I also wouldn't recommend nicknaming a child "KK" because it's just too dangerously close to "KKK."
If I had to pick from the names you've provided, I'd say Kennan Sawyer.

I hope the last name is not a "k" also.

I like Kennan much better than Sawyer.
