The ultimate thinkers who traveled mother earth were Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed. Everyone who becomes enlightened reaches the highest level of thinking prowess.

To reach the stage of enlightenment... the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... we need to transgress the boundaries of the physical manifested life... the five senses and the mind. Establishing control over the five senses and the mind one finally removes the impurities within our soul atman. All the dross within having removed forever... one finally invokes the completed Wisdom of the Cosmos through the power of Shruti.

No human being ever has a mind. We all have a brain that acts as a receiving and transmitting station. All thoughts passing through our brain are transmitted from the reservoir of mind plus and mind minus. All positive thoughts flow from the reservoir of mind plus and negative thoughts from the reservoir of mind minus! As is our invocation, so is the flow of thoughts!

One with serene nature invokes positive thoughts all the time. Those indulging in wanton desires and materialistic reaches draw thoughts from the reservoir of mind minus. Mind is the ultimatum transmitting station of the whole Cosmos from where flow all thoughts that exist in the Cosmos from times immemorial.

No human being ever produces a single thought... one only invokes! All thoughts... every single thought in the Cosmos exists from times immemorial... ever since the Cosmos came into existence after the big bang. If we desire invoking positive thoughts all the time (become the ultimate thinking machine)... we need to transcend above petty and bestial thinking.

In the last about 150 years only two persons gained enlightenment... they were Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana. Reading literature related to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana leads one towards enlightenment. It is only then one finally transcends the highest stage of thinking... the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. More on Mind Power - http://www.godrealized.org/mind_a_universal_phenomenon.html

Think and never ever consider yourself wise so that you believe you are the ultimate thinking machine.

Guru has an interesting point, since thinking is a solitary pursuit and new thought is dependent on the input of new ideas, could you ever be the ultimate thinking machine?

The bible talks of King Solomon as the wisest man who ever lived and ever will live, yet he made huge mistakes. Marrying 300 women was smart? No, his house was in disorder, murder and rape happened under his own roof because he had too many wives, concubines and children to keep track of.

So what have I learned in all of my years of study and seeking ultimate knowledge? The true beginning of great knowledge is to understand just how much you don't know. I am considered far more intelligent than most people, even among geniuses. Yet, I know that all of my knowledge is but a fraction of all there is.

You have to work to understand the question before the answer makes sense. Confusing? Good, you are on the right path.

There is a social cost. Thinking is a solitary sport which generally requires solitude. If you are prepared to be alone so that you can enact your goal then....

Review your machine's programming.

Each of us constructs beliefs about the world. Until you are ready to review your limiting beliefs, you thinking will be impaired to some degree.

In software, we might call this error-checking protocols.

Until you can discover your biases of confirmation biases, you will be less than the ultimate thought machine.

thinking in solitude is the best way, but trust me, from my own personal experience.. dont do it. I've spent too much time in solitude on my computer, for my own reasons, contemplating why things are the way they are. I think way too much about my life and im too self-consumed. I forget about other people, the needs of freinds and families and it can make things a lot worse.

+ it makes your mind feel screwed over, the whole solitary thing makes you 'crawl' within yourself... you then want less human contact and everything goes skyward. Stay the way you are, no need to change anything on puprose.

Read and analyze all of the great thinkers in history. Think critically about their points of view and reasonings and come up with your own. Remember your thoughts and ideas will not be appreciated until after you are gone.
