Slavery is alive and well in America! It's a kinder, gentler slavery than the old days, but with double digit interest, gas at $3 a gallon, taxes on everything, your Social Security being siphoned of to fight a war, we're all slaves. Owned by the federal government and the banks, we will all work and work and work until we either can't work anymore or we die. If you're not lucky enough to die, the system is designed to suck away everything you've accumulated in your life if you want decent medical care. Work, go home, watch a little propaganda, sleep, and go back to work, and repeat for the rest of your life, and you might not go bankrupt. Welcome to slavery, American style.

guest workers actually have some rights and they get paid at least something for their efforts. Plus they made the choice to come here.

That does not mean some may not be mistreated like slaves, rape, etc.

Slavery indicates forced labor by will of the "owners." Guest workers are not forced to do anything, except out of desire to escape poverty. That is different than slavery.

as long as the work is unfair & resembles any characteristic of slavery.

would u work to "get paid at least something for [your] efforts" or "some rights" or the "desire to escape povert?" no, u work for much more than that.

making a choice to go somewhere does not entitle you to be exploited. there are universal human rights, which us americans are supposed to believe in.
