I believe in God, but if I'm honest with myself I have to recognize the possibility that religion could have just been fabricated by man because we don't want to admit that after death is nothing but oblivion. One thing I've learned is that the things we want to be true are not always the things that are true. If you had asked me this same question 10 years ago, I would have said that I believe in God 100%. But now I am not as convinced as I used to be. Who knows what I'll believe in the future.

I am completely agnostic, and I am the type of agnostic that believes [if you could call it a belief] that God is indeterminate, I dont know if he exists or not and neither do you. For an analytical person as my self, lack of evidence or proof means I should mean I disregard the statement completely, but since God is unprovable, I cannot sensibly choose either path, because no one will ever know for sure anyway.
Unfortunately the burden of proof is with the theists, since it is logically impossible to prove a negative statement so anyone who says "prove that God does not exist" does not have a good feel for logic. Ironically this means that most likely, if a proof for God does exist it will never be found since theists have faith and by definition do not require proof [and so less inclined for look for it] and it would be foolish for an atheist to go in persuit a proof of something he does not believe exists.

This is not a question for a science forum. No test has ever been found that can tell the difference between a universe created by God, and one that appeared without Him. Therefore you can believe whatever you want to believe. Just don't confuse religious beliefs with science, because the two are distinctively separate. I was raised in a very religious household, and see no conflict between the two.
