Faith is the ability to believe in that which cannot be seen. Bigger than that, faith is the ability to get through the rough times in life when you feel like you can't go on. Faith keeps you going in the right direction and keeps you from ever giving up. I think faith is different than our other emotions. It's much more powerful.

The Bible defines faith as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Personally, faith to me is believing in something you can not actually see (i.e. a successful relationship or believing that God exists). You internalize a dream, hope, belief and hope that it comes to past.

Emotions are feelings - joy, sorrow, grief, etc. In the sense that emotions are a feeling, the result of faith is an emotion. Faith results in an emotion, but it is not the same thing. So I would consider faith and emotions in the same family, like cousins :)

Faith is a belief in a power, who helps you trough life,in your ups and downs. You can not prove it but it surely helps you.
It takes many years to accept it,but it is so true, there is more "out there".
The years you struggle you are not willing to humble yourself to admit that there is something like a Higher Power.

Emotions are simply indicators in our lives. we feel bad or good, sad or elated, caution, frightened, curious, nauseous..et all, we don't control the onset, but we use them to understand things.
Faith is learned. it is the trust you have in the outcome of events for reasons you have come to rely upon. Without the trust, faith is simply a gamble.
