... are there some artists you make an exception for? I know a lot of hard rock fans that still appreciate legends like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, and some teenybop pop fans like young artists like Rascal Flatts or Carrie Underwood. How about you?

And if country music's your favorite, then what else do you like?

I love old country, but I refuse to listen to country radio these days. I can't stand Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson, or 95% of the other "artists" they play repeatedly on the radio. That said I have a deep appreciation for Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Sr., merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Tom T Hall, Billy Joe Shaver........etc. The only new country acts i like are Shooter Jennings and the Wreckers.

I like country, but not as much of todays stuff as in the 60's, 70's and 80's. I love George Jones, Gene Watson, Gary Stewart, Joe Stampley, Travis Tritt, Reba, Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, T.G.Sheppard, Billy Crash Craddock, Johnny Rodriguez, Del Reeves, Red Sovine, Dave & Sugar, Holly Dunn, Highway 101, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Marty Stuart, Sammi Smith, Lacy J. Dalton, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys and etc. My number one favorite genre of music is actually the blues, but I love all kinds, except rap. That ain't no music!

try some alt-u . s . such as a results of fact the previous ninety seven's, Uncle Tupelo and Wilco. lots greater advantageous IMO than the greater often than not watered-down commercial u . s . you hear on the radio. Hank Williams III has a greater durable, greater raucous sound beginning from classic u . s . to punk. Southern rock such as a results of fact the Allman Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Lynyrd Skynyrd is rock that has a rustic and blues-prompted sound which could be favored by ability of followers of the two rock and u . s . (seem for their early stuff) inspect some psychobilly stuff which contain Reverend Horton warmth and Southern way of existence on the Skids. a number of this is fairly whacked-out, regardless of the shown fact that it helpful factors heavy u . s . and rock impacts and a few fairly hilarious (commonly raunchy) lyrics. Johnny funds is an artist that transcended the country label and has had a lot of crossover allure (inspect "Folsom reformatory Blues"). lots of the grateful ineffective's early 70's albums which contain American attractiveness and Workingman's ineffective have fairly some songs which would be loosely categorized as u . s .-rock, as does early Crosby, Stills and Nash (and each so often youthful). counting on what forms of Rock you're into and what forms of u . s . she likes (a lot of sub-genres in the two a type of categories), you ought to be waiting to locate some stuff in this checklist which you would be able to the two get excitement from.

Love Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Toby Keith. Country is not my favorite, however I would listen to them over any other kind of music than "my music" which is Christian/Gospel music. I love the throaty voices that put heart into their singing. I HATE RAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANY KIND of RAP!!!!!
